There's a long tradition of successful films based on this concept:
The hero suddenly finds himself or herself transported into a surprising new world that is wonderful, disturbing, and sometimes frightening. As the hero struggles to navigate this strange reality, complications ensue. Eventually, they learn something important about themselves.
